Dr. Mark T. Marino has over 27 years of experience in pharmaceutical development spanning phase 1 to phase 3 clinical trials. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy in 1981 and his MD degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1985. He completed training in Internal Medicine at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center and his Fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda Maryland. He remained at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and became the Head of the Department of Pharmacology, an Assistant Professor of Medicine at USUHS and a staff physician at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda National Naval Medical Center. Completing his military commitment, he joined pharma and worked at Novartis, Eisai, Roche and MannKind in various leadership positions. He was the CMO for Cytori and Imugene prior to being a co-founder of Sunterra Bio. He was involved with the NDAs and sNDAs for Actemra®, Affreza® and Clarinex®. He has over 30 publications and 9 patents.
